SAP ABAP development for a logistical service provider in the
UK beverage industry. All work was performed remotely.
Modules: WM, SD, transportation with 6.0
Tools: ALV, Screen Painter, GUI Designer, BAdI, other development
tools.
The Customer had
purchased the distribution network of a major brewery, and had
secured another major logistical customer selling to the licensed
trade. The SAP ERPs of both logistical customers were both hooked
up to the distributor's SAP WM system. This required an interesting
inversion of the normal distribution model, which more naturally
caters for multiple WMs talking to the same ERP. There were a
lot of BAdI and user exit changes, and numerous custom screens
for functions including Proof of Delivery, Distributed Stock Transport
Order, Posting Change cockpit, various interfaces, mostly implemented
as fairly sophisticated ALVs.
