SAP ABAP Analyst/Programmer for a Pennsylvania systems house specializing
in WM and RF applications
Modules: WM, SD, MM, IM.
Tools: ABAP tools, Screen Painter, GUI designer, SAPconsole,
Data Dictionary, Radio Frequency
Coded more than 40 SAPconsole programs for this specialist RF consultancy practice and
eight of their customers. Application areas of Goods Receipt with
and without PO, Goods Receipt from Production, replenishment,
picking for Production Orders, deliveries and Handling Units,
bin-to-bin transfers, putaway, bin inquiry, stock inquiry and
others. Worked with IM Goods Movements, WM Transfer Orders and
Transfer Requirements and with standard functionality including
Putaway Proposal. Provided on-site customer support, installation,
testing and troubleshooting at customer sites. Also worked with
barcode printing, handling Unit Management and stocktaking applications.
This was a demanding, time-critical environment in a development
group which has a great wealth of WM expertise and this project
provided exposure to all areas of WM and IM programming, and experience
of nine different WM and IM systems. A great learning experience
resulting in a more well-rounded knowledge of most areas of SAPconsole
programming.
In the process, I created a highly productive suite of reusable code to automate the programming of screen handling and loop processing, which saves hours of coding in customizing the standard template applacations at the vendor.
