Warehouse Management RF SAPconsole
implementation for stock movement, conversions, and WM reports
for an industrial manufacturer in Middle Tennessee.
Modules: WM, SD, MM, IM.
Tools: ABAP tools, Screen Painter, GUI designeer, SAPconsole,
trace, LSMW, BAPI, Call Transaction, BDC, Classification.
ABAP analyst/programmer for a number of Warehousing Management (WM) enhancements
plus conversion of Vendor Master and Inventory transactional data.
Dialog design and
programming for a streamlined set of screens for internal stock
transfers using Radio Frequency vehicle-mounted terminals, in
conjunction with scanners. The screens replaced a long series
of IM and WM screens and created IM goods movements, WM transport
requirements and WM transport orders. The ergonomics simplified
for minimal keyboard operation.
Built screens to
capture physical inventory data collected on hand-held units.
Legacy Vendor data
conversion using LSMW (Legacy Systems Migration Workbench). Donor
data was from an Infinium system running on a legacy IBM AS/400
system.
Legacy data conversion
using LSMW for inventory in hand from a variety of donor systems.
We used standard SAP batch programs and custom programs using
SAP BAPIs and WM function modules to convert IM, WM and Classification
data with performance issues requiring parallelization.
Miscellaneous other
duties included knowledge transfer and contributions to standards
manuals.
